John Femiani is an Assistant professor at Arizona State University in the Department of Engineering. Research and teaching interests include Computer graphics, Computer Aided Geometric Design, and Computer Vision. Dr. femiani has professional experience working with the Barrow Neurological institute to develop visualization and simulation software for sharing and teaching surgical approaches. Health related research includes work on summarizing the shape of joint surfaces without landmarks so that statistical relationships can be explored, and automatic alignment of 3D body and facial scans in order to characterize the variation in human anatomy.
